When I saw these words appear on my Youtube screen, “How to be More Powerful Than a President”, I knew my three day old essay had found its title.
There was a time in my life when political outrage ran through me like fire, disappointment at election outcomes, frustration at the line dividing “good people” from “not-so-good people.” I placed so much meaning on which side held the moral compass, not understanding the one bird two wings reality. Then, my mom died, and the ground beneath me split open.
In that grief, I awakened to the dark forces not only out in the world but also within myself…forces fed by fear, judgment, and the illusion of separation. I woke up to the spell of duality that binds so many of us, the narrative that keeps us distracted, fractured, and turned away from our own power and divesting it into people, places, and things OUT THERE.
And here’s the truth they don’t want you to know: the moment you remember who you really are, their game crumbles. Because then, they can no longer siphon power from your fear, your hate, your disconnection. They’ll have to look inward for their own source instead of harvesting energy from greed, control, and the desecration of nature. The world changes when enough of us wake up—when we return to our wholeness, not through opposition, but through integration. This is not just another rebellion; it’s reclamation. This is how we break the spell.
To be more powerful than the president, you must first anchor yourself in the power of your true soul essence. The essence of who you are is not swayed by titles, institutions, or the illusion of external authority. When you choose to embody this truth, you step into a sovereignty that no figurehead, no matter how grand their perceived power, can undermine. You become untouchable—not through holding up picket signs or fighting against the illusive OTHER, but through alignment with your higher self.
The power wielded by those in high office is often a borrowed force, tethered to the belly of the beast—the collective shadow of fear, control, and manipulation. The closer one aligns with that beast, the more one must endure its volatile and consuming nature. This is why so many who chase worldly power find themselves at the mercy of its chaos, rather than its master.
The victimized are then bound to their abuser, i.e., Trump for many, and the deeper the victimization, the more of a God we unconsciously make them, granting them power that mirrors the depth of our unresolved wounds.
But there is another way: the path of being in the world but not of it. This path invites you to engage with life fully, to meet the world on its terms, but to do so without becoming entangled in its illusions. When you remember your essence, you see the game for what it is—a theater of souls learning their way back to love. And when you reside in a place with freedoms, you are uniquely positioned to model this behavior. You can show others that there is a way to participate without sacrificing your soul.
Hot button example: I can’t tell you how many herbalists were giving free classes and information for people who don’t want their reproductive rights tied to a political party. (Also…don’t get me started on the nefarious beginnings of Planned Parenthood, which is more like eugenics undercover. For those who don’t know, eugenics is a practice aimed at controlling reproduction to "improve" the population, often targeting Black and Brown women, who were subjected to forced sterilizations and other violations under the guise of public health. Planned Parenthood was founded by Margaret Sanger, a prominent advocate for birth control who also supported, you guessed it… Eugenics. Sanger's early work was intertwined with the belief that controlling if black and brown woman reproduced could address social issues, which has sparked ongoing debates about her legacy. (I’ll leave out the amount of money these tissues fetch and how they end up in Vaccines and let you do your own research.)
To beat them at their own game is not to compete for their power.
It is to transcend it entirely. It is to step out of the arena where fear rules and into the expansive field where love and integrity hold sway. This is the kind of power that cannot be taken from you, because it is not dependent on external conditions.
Your presence, aligned with the deep truth of your being, becomes a silent revolution. By simply refusing to play by the beast's rules, you reveal its impotence.
